Swiss watch maker, Hublot, creates first ‘indestructible’ 18-carat gold watch

The new material is made of a mix of gold, aluminium and boron carbide - it's the only rust-proof and scratch-proof 18-carat gold alloy ever created, and can only be scratched with a diamond

Swiss watchmaker, Hublot, revealed their latest wonder watch for men. The indestructible 18-carat gold watch for men is immune to rust; is impossible to scratch (except with a diamond); and is harder than most steel alloys.
Swiss watchmaker Hublot is well-known for its hi-tech Big Bang range, and often unveils timepieces in materials such as carbon fiber.
But this year, the watch giant is set to unveil an entirely new alloy – called ‘Magic Gold’ – which is the first-ever ‘indestructible’ 18-carat gold.

It’s completely immune to rust, and can only be scratched with a diamond. The first watches using the metal will be on show at the Baselworld watch show in March next year.
